He’d probably try eating the stupid thing!
That you even said
Does my anecdotal evidence trump yours?
Shows how little you understand the concept.
You clearly don’t understand what you’re trying to say. It’s a problem with this style of communication. Your putting to much value on your idea of what anecdotal evidence is. I’m not making presumptions about anything beyond my personal experiences. There’s no facts I can use outside of voting records and the words people use and the actions they take. You can call it antidotal evidence but that’s a poor direction because it’s like everything is anecdotal if someone wants to be argumentive. Everything is anecdotal at some point https://listen-hard.com/psychological-research-and-methodology/anecdotal-evidence-psychology/
I live in a conservative part of Washington, surrounded by even more conservative communities on the other side of the state boarder with Idaho. My city is an island of moderate voting but leaning right. It’s not very hard to get a sense of what the local politics are.
Do you know what that is like?
Let me give you an example. https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Shea
Matt Shea was a local government official. He’s made world news doing questionable shit. He’s made a religious manifesto. He is a local conservative leader where I live. He was on stage with the previous mayor of Spokane. The election results are clearly factual. That mayor didn’t lose in a landslide. Matt Shea was rejected by the Republican Elites but I think his endorsement of Trump has a stronger appeal to the Republicans in Eastern Washington than Dick Cheney.
Shea acknowledged that he had distributed a four-page manifesto which called for the killing of non-Christian males if a war were to occur and they do not agree to follow fundamentalist biblical law
This is reality.
It’s hard to NOT see all the parts and make a conclusion that local conservative voters don’t care what the National Republican Party thinks.
Psychology isn’t a good science especially if you’re trying to apply it to politics.
Did you even read that? What part aside from the use of your keywords do you want me to take from this?
That is a weak perspective.
Let me share something with you https://wikipedia.org/wiki/All_politics_is_local
Because I talk to Republicans, like with my mouth and listen with my ears. I see the roadside Trump support. I see people hanging banners on freeway overpasses. I’m just being realistic because I don’t think conservative voters really care about what the Republican Elites are doing if those people aren’t MAGA morons.
I don’t hear any of that outside the prominent ones. The smaller local ones are dead set on voting for Trump in my neck of the woods. But we have the nutters like Matt Shea constantly siring the pot and North Idaho seems like a powder keg waiting to go off. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone doesn’t try another Ruby Ridge type standoff in the next 5 years.
Ideology for many of the conservative mindset is more important that principles. The Democratic leaning voters are the ones that can be fickle enough to stay home but the Republicans would still vote
I was living downtown in Seattle and they were always near the market bothering people. They would setup their little booths right on the sidewalk and force people to walk around them. When they would try to talk to me is when I would just spit at their feet. I probably fit the street punk look and they would talk shit at me so I escalated it that one time. The Obama Hitler shit just enraged me
I had a workflow that I designed in May and then we had to wait for the fiscal year to turn over before we could get another batch of the new style of devices. Between May and this week, Microsoft and Google must have made some changes because my workflow didn’t work as directed. I hadnt needed to disable Play Protect for that initial workflow. I just waited until the Intune enrollment was clearly done (policies and profiles were completed in Intune) before I did the customization of the device with abs and such, that seemed to make the other devices go according to plan.
Lyndon LaRouche
LOL oh man I have not thought about that fool in years… I would spit on the ground when I would walk by those fools. There was a lot of them in Seattle. One time a guy took offense on me looking him in the eye and then spitting at his feet. Since I lived in the neighborhood I went home and grabbed a couple eggs and tossed them at their booth. Good times!
the google store environment is such a pain, at work we have android based Zebra barcode readers… today when I was sideloading our app one of the devices kept uninstalling it because of google play… what a fucking pain in the ass
only when intune fully took it over did it stop…
DONT MAKE ME LIKE INTUNE GOOGLE… JFK
Permanent Midnight was the better followup movie for Alf
it was on politics @lemmy.world, it was jordanlund
the comment that was removed that got me banned for questioning the mod
Removed Comment >bluemaga LoL making up shit and trying to make it stick is so ambitious. Good luck weirdo.
Calling a reactionary a weirdo got me banned in one of the political communities recently. Mod called it attacking language
when the time comes, convert it to an EV for a small cost with a huge return
Blocking an instance is a basic option in the web interface for lemmy in the blocks section of your settings. Its at the top. Blocking an instance does not block its users, it just blocks the communities from showing up in your all searches
you can block the instance but when the users are on other communities, it does not block the users
nobody is going to answer your question because its a sealioning like question coming from a user on lemmy.ml
I wish there was an additional option to block all users of an instance separate from the instance block that applies to communities.
There is an option for that, its called Defederation
LoL make them pay for their lack of effort!
Love it
