I wish more people knew what Run… did, but the Ctrl + v should be a little more obvious. We need to teach more computer literacy if you don’t immediately know that means you’re copying text to something.

Especially on a shady site, mind you. But then again, this could be on a phishing email, so that’s not always the case I guess. (I got one from “STARBUCKS” that Gmail didn’t catch, their spam filter has been shit lately, blocking my work emails but letting through a lot of sus stuff).

  • The change could easily be statistical noise. My gut says she’s doing well, but not because the polls but because of who they didn’t poll. You’re looking at a 2008 repeat if she keeps up the excitement with younger voters, for instance. 2008 and 2016 were both decided by unpolled, politically disengaged groups that decided that year was their year. Polls can’t anticipate new voters very well because they’re not “likely voters” (Plus who fucking answers their phone anyway).

But, it’s September. There are a lot of things that can change. Polls also don’t take into account voter restriction crap that’s in place. In 2020 I don’t think it could figure out COVIDs impact on voting, which likely helped Biden.

So as others say, vote. Hell, don’t stop there, volunteer or donate or at the very least meme until you can’t meme anymore. They’re eating cats and dogs, people!

  • I watched it, and I usually skip debates because the summaries are more meaningful (it’s usually just used for fluffy sound bites). This one just felt… Different? She baited the fuck out of him. There will be so many memes.

And yeah the moment he said the great Orban I fucking lost it, more at than the dog eating migrants and the post birth abortions. Like, Harris can’t necessarily call that “ally” an asshole fascist but like, those of us in the know, know.

  • Can confirm. Wife got a fancy AI tool from corporate and it’s only delayed her work (which is mostly in excel). Lots of false equations and bad advice. So she comes to me and I give her a simple, no frills formula and solve the problem in 5 to 15 minutes.

Oh and of course they’re removing their RTO initiatives soon and adding another day of mandatory in office. Mind you, free lunch isn’t the pull they think it is for my wife, although if I’m being honest, if it’s me … Well, I do have a thing for free catering. Not 1 hr+ commute, but I’ll bike for an hour for free food (and coffee).
