So as an alternative question so someone who sounds reasonable (it is the Internet after all!), what are your thoughts on a 2-state solution, or Israel’s expansion into the West Bank?
Ignoring of course the fact that a 2-state solution will never ever happen.
They also have a very good chance at taking both houses of Congress. I believe either half or more than half of the state Governors are Rep, and same for state houses. They’re not at all weak.
While I see what you’re saying, it unfortunately does make it worse. As a woman in the military, she already has to put up with enough B.S. My wife retired from the navy over 10-years ago, and still works for the DOD. She still sees and puts up with the sexism and misogyny. For sure, it’s less than when she first joined back in the 90s, but it’s still enough to get under your skin. Add to that the genuine, and well-founded, fear this woman feels at the prospect of being a target for domestic terrorists her own country is too scared to call out for fear of appearing to be “politically slanted,” and it absolutely does make it worse.
Magneto is the manifestation of the saying, “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.” You could probably reasonably say:
Professor X : Magneto :: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. : Malcom X
Professor X and the X-Men were all for mutant equality, but they always favored peaceful acceptance. Conversely, Magneto recognized that large portions of society would never accept mutants. It also bears mentioning that Magneto carried some “racist” (for lack of a better word) tendencies towards non-mutants. In his view, non-mutants are lesser beings.

But you’re right about rice. A better solution is to use a silica packet. A good argument for keeping some handy instead of throwing them out.
