I think she got banned from them, back when they were a normal social media platform. And she locked herself to one door, so everyone going in used the other door and didn’t care. Someone else posted a link about it.
Yet if I was helping my elders over the phone, I’d get all sorts of “What Windows key?”, “I can’t find that Control key”, or “I did that key, the plus key, and then my hand slipped and I minimized everything.”
There’s both humor and serious responses to this, both doing the same job of saying it’s stupid lies. The alternative is to ignore it, which means it only circulates in the circles where it’s meant to drum up real action instead of just a meme. Do you have another solution instead of countering it with how ridiculous it is?
The number of ballots is an issue, but the response to running out is far more important. There is “oh shit, well let’s get more there, give some time to make sure votes are counted.” Vs. “Stop the polls, this is all going to plan!”
I’m curious where I can pick up some of this brain augmentation technology.
So far over a span of maybe 40 years of computing I’ve only lost two HDDs. A number of 5 1/4 floppies back then but that was typical. Both drives I was able to pull most of the info off to a new drive, so yay for the mechanical drive, where a SSD you’re left with either a miracle, or looking for the experts to retrieve something. I’m no power user, so perhaps that’s part of the reason, but ever since we got into the giga and tera range of storage my first thought is always…wow, that’s a lot to lose at one time.
Yet suggest better regulations on making sure people who own a gun understand it, and you get accused of taking away god given rights.
Same, except I snatched up both the theater and extended the minute they came out and have watched through them all numerous times. As well as now watched a lot of reaction videos for them, which I guess counts too. It’s fun to reexperience the first time through someone else’s eyes.
Lord of the Rings.
You say “they”. I think this was pure Trump off the rails, and his handlers were probably screaming in the back.
Precisely.
This refers to the fourth wall break he does when something absurd is said and he looks right at the camera/viewers.
The media follows what will get attention, unfortunately. Probably true of some politicians as well. He should absolutely be held responsibly for all he did, but understandably the news topic is how even diehard Republicans of old are turning on Trump. I note that apparently GWB has decided to not be public about anything, which sort of says he’s in the same boat, he just maybe doesn’t want or need the publicity.
Are they celebrating, or just pointing at the “betrayal” as more evidence of a collapsing campaign? Maybe if they just have the headline say “Enabler of crimes against humanity also against Trump” to cover all bases.
Romanes eunt domus
I don’t see it as legitimizing anything. MAGA pundits are even now calling Cheney of all people a RINO. Don’t interrupt an enemy when they are making a mistake. If this pushes some Republicans to vote for Harris, wonderful. If it discourages some moderates from voting for Trump by not voting (WHY would they still be voting for him as moderate…but that’s a different topic), then that still helps. She should just not acknowledge his endorsement, let it fall where it will. Any attention is going to hurt someone’s feelings, and there’s already the problem of people on the left who can’t have their perfect utopia with Harris and somehow think her not winning will help their cause.
And also important: changes their mind when confronted with evidence that their administration or themselves might have the wrong position on a topic. Some may call that flip-flopping, but it isn’t when it follows the facts.
I don’t disagree with you there. But we have to pick the fights that will make a difference, because a lot of us can only do it once.
Alternatively, both Republican, and she changed for the better for herself.
