It’s why I went back to reddit. I check in here occasionally to check. I can handle the reddit hive if I limit where and how I participate. But the hardcore political ideologies sprinkled everywhere in lemmy ruin even a limited browsing experience for me.
This is the price you pay for less hive mindish environment. You won’t like every comment or post, you will hate some. That’s alright

God my feed was actually tolerable by blocking Hexbear and lemmy.ml. hell, it got better after blocking specific users before just blocking the whole instance itself.
how do you block entire instances? i’ve been trying to figure this out for a year…
Need to change accounts to somewhere that blocks the instances. Lemmy.cafe for example blocks grad ml and hexbear

I’d upvote the meme if it wasn’t also controversial to criticize all war criminals, including both those at the top and the bottom.

I mean there is a difference, and hearing “let’s criticise joe biden” after hearing about russia killing half a million people gets daunting in the long run. It feels like a new form of whataboutism.
Sure we should criticise all bad things, but I don’t really feel we are not criticising the west, quite the opposite. China, NK, Iran (Russia starts to get some, but not enough IMO) not so much.
What about Morocco? Mauretania, Kirgizistan or Libya? Or should we only have criticism for modern societies?
